Ornament - note above or below the main note, it DOES count towards time value - it is also more strongly accented than the main noteand pushed the main note onto a weaker beat (or weaker part of beat) - usually takes half the value of the main note or two thirds of the value if main note dotted. Dont assume the time value of written appoggiatura is correct time value.

What key needs a special adjustment to is dominant chord?
G# Minor - dominant is written as double shar on the 3rd (F in the D# minor chord becomes G to make D# Major)
How do Piccolo notes sound in relation to the score?
An Octave higher
What are the two ways to refer to a notes for a transposed instument and what is difference?
Concert pitch - This is the sound the instrument actually makes
Written Pitch - This is the notes as written on stave
How might an acciaccatura be played on a keyboard?
At same time as main note but released immediatley
What is difference between a turn at medium or slow vs fast tempo?
Medium/slow Tempo - Could be notated with triplet marking as there is more time to perform this
Fast tempo - more likely to be performed straight as time to tight for 16th note triplet
Difference between a trill at a slow tempo and a quick tempo?
Slow Tempo - Will need more notes (and therefore shorter time values)
Quick Tempo - Will need less notes and less short time values as spped already gives it the trill feel
