ECONOMICALLY, why did the Industrial Revolution begin in Britain?

A

Britain colonised many countries, and the countries were able to bring lots of resources to Britain, such as iron, spices, and wool. By using these resources to Britain’s own benefit and selling them (sometimes even back to the countries!), they gained lots of profit.
Furthermore, Britain had a great banking system, which handled immense economic activity well.
