A sturdy low-set dog, rather long in proportion to height with strong Terrier character, alertness, activity and soundness. It’s untrimmed harsh coat with definite ruff around the neck extending to the breastbone and its long strong head assist in developing its hard bitten, rugged appearance.
Australian Terrier
Agile, alert, of workmanlike, natural appearance. Standing well forward on forepaws. Strong quarters. Deep in rib, very free in movement. Weather-resistant coat.
Carin Terrier
Small, low, keen dog, compact and strong, short back, good substance and bone. Honourable scars from fair wear and tear permissible.
Norfolk Terrier
Small, low, keen dog, compact and strong with good substance and bone. Honourable scars from fair wear and tear not to be unduly penalised.
Norwich Terrier
Thick-set, of suitable size to go to ground, which would preclude dogs of excessive body weight, short legged, alert in carriage and suggestive of great power and activity in small compass. Head gives the impression of being long for size of dog. Very agile and active in spite of short legs.
Scottish Terrier
Free moving, active, balanced and of great substance in small compass. General outline oblong, not square.
Sealyham Terrier
Long, low, with coat of good length, twice as long as high. Moves with seemingly effortless gait. Strong in quarters, body and jaw.
Skye Terrier
Strongly built; deep in chest and back ribs; level back and powerful quarters on muscular legs and exhibiting in a marked degree a great combination of strength and activity.
