Ears test
Weber and Rinne test. Tuning fork and otoscope.
Tactile fremitus
“99”. Ulnar and palmar surface of hands. Inc with lung consolidation, pneumonia. Dec pleural effusion, pneumothorax, bronchial obstruction, air-trapping occurs.
Pulse pressure
Difference between systolic and diastolic BP. Measure of CO. Normal 30-40 mm Hg. Narrowed/lowered indicates hypovolemia, HF, shock, mitral stenosis. Widened/inc indicates slow HR, atherosclerosis, HTN

Specific gravity 1.010-1.030. PH 4.6-6.0. UO 1500ml. Child- pH 4.5-8.0

Newborn 50-90. Adult 70-110
Tonometer
Used to dx glaucoma. Measures intraocular pressure. Normal IOP= 10-21 mmhg c
Colposcopy
Exam of vagina and cervix using a colposcope. Identifies precancerous lesions of the cervix by magnifying tissue for exam. Bleeding may occur. Can use tampons. Report heavy bleeding

Visualize bladder
Culdoscopy
View structures in pelvic cavity.
Laparoscopy
Directly examine ovaries, Fallopian tubes, uterus, and small intestine
