Q

What is Ship Sweat? And how do you prevent it?

A

When cargo is loaded in a warm moist atmosphere, then the ship sails to a colder area causing the atmosphere inside the cargo hold to condense and water start pooling into the cargo.

Prevent it by ventilating the atmosphere inside the cargo hold with the cold air.

Q

What is Cargo Sweat? And how do you prevent it?

A

When you load cargo in a cold dry atmosphere, then sailed to a warmer area. If you ventilate then the warm air condenses around the cold cargo, damaging it.

Prevent it by NOT ventilating.
