GenAI Flashcards
Define Artificial Intelligence
A non-human program or model (aka computer) that can SOLVE sophisticated tasks.
Define Machine Learning. What happens when a model is trained?
A subset of AI, it is a program or system that TRAINS a model from input data.
A trained model can predict or produce new data sets in the context of original inputs.
The more data provided, the better prediction/output.
Define LLM. What are its use cases?
A TYPE of machine learning that is trained on massive amounts of TEXT data.
Use case: text generation, language translation, and writing different types of creative content.
Think ChatGPT + Bard
Define GenAI. What is its focus?
A TYPE of machine learning that produces NEW data similar to the training data.
GenAI’s focus is to produce new content rather than analyze existing content.
Use case: text, image, video, audio
Are LLMs and GenAI the same? Why?
No.
Why?
Not all LLMs are generative – translation, summarization, and question answering.
GenAI is a SUBSET of LLMs
What is a model garden?
Define Deep Learning.
Define Neural Networks
Define Foundational Models, what are their purpose?
Foundational models are massive data sets. They are used to train models to perform a variety of functions.
Think PaLM, Codey, Imagen, Chirp
