Téama-Saoirse
Freedom and slavery are the themes to be seen in this poem.
First of all the animal lived in the tropics.
It was free
He had the joy of the world.
He was running around.
It shook the trees.
“I would shake the trees of the true forest with my laughter”
In this section we see the theme of freedom.
Is é saoirse agus daoirse na téamái le feiceail sa dáin seo.
Savearsa a haon, bhí an t-ainmhí ina chónaí sna teochreasa .
Bhí sé saor
Bhí áthais an domhain air.
Bhí sé ag rith timpeall.
Chroith sé na crainn.
“Chroithfinn crainnte na coille truth le mo gháir “
Sa Chead alt seo feicimid téama na saoirse.
Téama-Daoirse
Secondly we see the theme of slavery.
Now he is in the zoo.
The world is sad for him.
The animal is not free now.
The zoo is like a prison.
The animal has no sim in anything.
No running around now.
He spends every day lying on the ground.
He only opens half an eye.
There are only trees in the zoo.
“I go down and look with half an eye at that panoramic tree over there”
He is very lonely because he is not out with the other animals.
People come to see it every day.
Ar an dara dul síos feicimid an téama daoirse.
Anois tá sé sa zú.
Tá brónach an domhain air.
Níl an t-ainmhí saor anois .
Tá an zú cosúil le príosún.
Níl sim ag an ainmhí I rud ar bith.
Ní bhíonn ag rith timpeall anois.
Caitheann sé gach la ina lu ar an talamh.
Ní oscláonn sé ach leathshúil .
Tá crainn amháin sa zú.
“Luim sios agus breathnaim tri leathshuil ar an gcrann panoramic sin thall”
Tá uaigneas an domhain air mar nac bhfuil sé amuigh leis na hainmhithe Eile.
Tagann daoine ag féachaint air gach lá.
