Amorphous- shapeless, no defiant shape
My friend Amanda thinks her body is amorphous, but I think shes perfect.
Convivial- fond of good company and festivity
I am convivial on my birthday because its a celebration just for me.
Corpulent - hugely fat
My cat is corpulent because he eats too much.
Deft - clever, cunning
My boyfriend Devin is very deft in making funny jokes.
Dilatory - delaying or slow
When we are beating a team really bad, the games are very dilatory because we have to play at least 5 innings.
Euphemism - substitution of an inoffensive term for one that is offensive
Instead of using an offensive word in my tweet, I used a euphemism instead to try to keep peace.
Feign - to make a false show of or to pretend
Devin always feigns to listen to me, and I end up feeling like I’m talking to myself.
Florid - flushed with color
When I get really embarrassed I become florid in my face.
Garrulous - talkative or rambling
Amanda is very garrulous and you can barely ever understand what she is saying.
Impetuous - impulsive, hasty, rash, or violent
When I get really mad I tend to make impetuous decisions.
Juxtapose - to place close together or side by side
My basketball coach decides to juxtapose all of us players in a height line.
Menagerie - collection if animals on exhibition, varies mixture
I listen to a menagerie of music because I like all kinds.
Punctilious - precise following of rules of instructions, details, and codes of conduct
Our school tries to make us non punctilious students follow dress code.
Somnambulist - a sleep walker
When I was younger I was a somnambulist and it would scare my mom in the middle of the night.
Strident - loud and harsh sounding
My mom seems very strident but shes normally not actually mad.
