From Mouth to first two parts of the duodenum
Lower GIT
Remaining Digestive Pathway
From second two parts of duodenum to the anus
Aero-Digestive Pathway
Mouth, Pharynx (throat)
Foregut
Part of the Digestive Pathway.
Esophagus to first two parts of the duodenum
Midgut
Part of the Digestive Pathway.
Last two parts of duodenum, small intestines, ascending colon, and first 2/3 of transverse colon.
Hindgut
Part of the Digestive Pathway.
Last 1/3 of transverse colon, descending colon, sigmoid colon, rectum, and anus.
GIT-Accessory Organs
Liver, Gallbladder, Pancreas. These glands secrete products into the lumen of the duodenum to enhance digestion.
