- Infection (Bile infested by aerobic bacteria -> ascending cholangitis)
- Renal failure (Too much bilirubin)
- Hepatic encephalopathy
- Bleeding tendency (fat malabsorption -> reduce vitamin K -> reduce clotting factors)
- Thromboembolism (clotting deficiency)
Mx: drainage/hydration/abx/vit K infusion/low dose LMWH

- Obstruction (biliary colic, pancreatitis, choledocholithiasis, liver failure)

- Fistulation (gallstone ileus)
