What is autoimmune gastritis?
A
Autoantibodies attacking parietal cells and intrinsic factor - usually in the fundus and body of the stomach
Leads to decreased acid and intrinsic factor production - causing Vit B12 deficiency and pernicious anaemia

What is bacterial gastritis?
A
Most common type of gastritis
Infection by H.pylori (usually)
Causes increased acid production (as opposed to autoimmune which causes decreased)
H.pylori infection increases the chances of developing gastric cancer

What are the causes of chemical gastritis?
A
NSAIDs
Alcohol
Bile reflux from duodenum
