What does RQ mean? What do certain values indicate?

A

RQ = Respiratory Quotient
- This number illustrates how much fat and carbs are being burned as a source of fuel

RQ near 1 = Carbohydrates main source
RQ near 0.7 = Fats main source
RQ 0.8-0.85 = Mixture of both
