What does marginalised mean?
Treating people unfairly and excluding them.
What type of marginalised people did Jesus help?
Those with impure ancestry, sinners, those who were religiously or culturally unclean, and women.
What does adultery mean?
A married person has a relationship with somebody who is not their husband/wife.
What is active love?
To respond to those who might need your help.

What is a miracle?
An extraordinary event that seems impossible by natural laws and believed to be caused by God’s power.
What is an apparition?
An appearance of someone unexpected i.e. Mary appeared to St Bernadette.
Why do pilgrims visit Lourdes?
For healing and spiritual renewal.
Give an example of a miracle of Jesus.
Jesus restores a demon possessed man, calms the storm, resurrects a young girl, heals a bleeding woman.
What is meant by the Kingdom of God?
God’s rule over humanity, both on earth and in the world to come.
What is a parable?
A story told by Jesus with a moral message.
What is the message of the Parable of the Sower?
If we let the word of God ‘take root’ in our hearts, we will become all that God wants us to.
In the Parable of the Sower what is meant by the seeds eaten by birds?
People who hear the Word of God but as soon as they hear it Satan takes it away.
In the Parable of the Sower what is meant by the seeds sown on rocky ground?
People who hear the Word of God with joy but their faith is shallow so it doesn’t last.
In the Parable of the Sower what is meant by the seeds sown amongst thorns?
People who hear the Word of God but worries and desires get in the way and make it unfruitful.
