Q

Causes of bias

A

High-mass halos cluster more than low mass.
Easier to collapse haloes in regions of already high overdensity, so you find more galaxies there. galaxy biasing
Peak density and mass overdensity are not the same. Peak density includes the background?
Halos of a given mass are more biased at higher redshift.

Q

Fingers of god

A

Virialized halos have increased Vpec, affecting the redshift. This leads to elongation in the density function in redshift

Q

BAO

A

‘released at teq’ frozen structure. Comoving peak position does not change, physical size only affected by expansion because these things are so large.
