Since neither Jews nor Gentiles are justified by the works of the Law, how are we then justified. (Galatians 2:16)
We are justified by the faith in Jesus Christ
According to Galatians 3:24 what was the purpose of the Law?
Purpose of the law was to lead us to Christ so that we might be justified by faith.
We see in Galatians chapter 4 that if we have faith in Jesus Christ, then we are God’s children. What has God given us as His children?
He gave us the Holy Spirit
Read over the works of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21. What does it say about the people who do such things.
They will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Our flesh and spirit are in conflict with each other. Galatians 5:16 says that if we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. What does it mean to walk in the Spirit.
When we walk in the spirit we are conquering sinful desires.
God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. What blessings do you see in Ephesians 1:4-11
1st blessing: We haven been chosen by God.
2nd blessing: God has accepted us through Jesus Christ.
3rd blessing: We’ve been redeemed by the shed blood of Christ and that our sins have been forgiven.
4th blessing: God has made his will known to us, that Christ may be the center of all.
5th blessing: That we’ve been given an inheritance in the kingdom of God.
Salvation is a wonderful gift of God; it is not something we can earn. Why do you think God designed it this way? (Ephesians 2:8-9)
So no one can boast about there salvation and so we can give God all the glory.
How does God answer our prayers according to Ephesians 3:20
By doing exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Ephesians 5:11 states that we are to have nothing to do with unfruitful deeds or darkness. Write out verse 12. How can you apply this scripture in your life today.
For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. I can apply this scripture to my life by not worrying what other people are doing in there life, speaking of other people business is gossiping
The bible says that our warfare is not in the physical world. How are we to fight this battle as testified in Ephesians 6:13-18
We need to put on the full armor of God and stand firm. Wear the belt of truth to gird our waist we put on the breastplate of righteousness to guard our heart. For shoes we put on peace that comes from the Good news so that were fully prepared. We hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. We put on salvation as our helmet and take the sword of the spirit which is the word of God
Galatians 4:16
Am I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth.
Works of the flesh
Idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outburst of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties
Fruit of the spirits
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control
Chapter 6:9-10
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
