Q

MAU

A

Modular Avionics Unit: There are three (3) MAU’s on board. Two in the LEER and one in the REER. The MAU gathers information from many locations and then sends it out to the display units for viewing. CAS messages are distributed through these.

LGCMP

A

Landing Gear Control Maintenance Panel

18
Q

CPAM

A

Cabin Pressure Acquisition Module

19
Q

CPC

A

Cabin Pressure Controller: On Pilot’s Overhead Panel (POP). Selections for Flight, Fault, and Auto. Also has a manual descend and climb dial and a Close/Open valve indicator.

20
Q

SSEC

A

Static Source Error Correction: Switch located on the REER switch panel behind the Co-pilot seat and checked on cabin preflight to ensure it is enabled.

21
Q

EVAS

A

Emergency Vision Assurance System

22
Q

BPCU

A

Bus Power Control Units: The BPCU’s are the “Brains” of the electrical system and provide distribution and protection of the system. They provide detection, protection, and notification of faults and output the findings to the CAS message system. They can be reset by the crew (one time) if the fault is no longer present. They control the Bus Ties to provide power to the opposite side in the event of a fault. The BPCU logic is Left before Right, and Essential before Main.

23
Q

NBPT

A

No Break Power Transfer: Controlled by the BPCU (Bus Power Control Unit). Uses the Generator Control Unit (GCU) speed control to synchronize the frequency and phase of the IDG (Integrated Drive Generator) to the previous or next AC source. If there is no IDG in the transfer, (APU, External Power Source, or Component Failure) there will be a break in the power supply.

24
Q

CCD

A

Cursor Control Device: Controls the mouse/cursor on the DU’s

25
Q

AGM

A

Advanced Graphic Module: If this fails, you will get a red X on the display unit.
