What is physics?
It studies changes in matter that don’t affect nature.After a physical change the substances stays the same, so, it dosent change.
What is chemistry?
It studies the composition of matter and changes that affect its nature.Chemical changes transform substances into another substances.
What. is a metal?
It’s an element that tends to lose electrons.
What is a non-metal?
It’s an element that tends to gain electrons
What is a metalloid?
It’s a mixture of metals and non-metals.
What are groups in the periodic table?
They’re the columns in horizontal. That all the elements in the same group have the same number of electrons. (1 to 18)
What are the periods in a periodic table?
They’re the rows in vertical.That all the elements in the same period have the same number of layers.(7 rows)
What happened in the 17th Century???
Robert Boyle established concepts of the elements as certain fundamental substances that make up matter.
What happen in the 18th Century ??
Antonie Lavoisiercreated a list of 33 known elements,including gold, silver,carbon and oxygen.
Jacob Berzelius proposed the symbols for the elements and the latin name.
