They currently have permission for exploratory wells and are doing RA but cannot extract gas pending 2016 Autumn verdict
Surveys report the majority of locals are opposed
Government are keen to fast track proposal and will have final say
May 23rd KM8 approval means despite 2011 setbacks approval likely
