What is the main issue of MRI Linacs?
A
Linac is large RF producer (waveguide).
MR is RF receiver.

Which type of MRI imaging is done on an MRI Linac?
A
Sparse imaging used: image recon done rapidly so can see motion during treatment. Done by random sample of k-space. If this is faster, can collect more data, etc. This allows effective quality of 4T (according to maker…). But definitely good enough to do verification (its purpose).

What feature allows MRI Linacs to function?
A
Bucket shields linac components from magnetic field. Carbon fiber put inside bucket (as is RF absorber) so absorbs RF from Linac to prevent from reaching MRI.
