Use Future Continuous
The Future Continuous tense is used to express an ongoing action that will occur in the future. It often indicates an action that will be in progress at a specific point in the future.
Forming Future Continuous
Subject + will be + present participle (base verb + ing)
Expressions to indicate time Future Cont.
Expressions that are often used with the future continuous tense include:
- at this time tomorrow / next week / next month / next year etc.
- when
- while
- as
Examples Future Cont.
- At this time tomorrow, we will be driving to the beach.
- When you arrive, I will be cooking dinner.
- While you are at work, I will be cleaning the house.
- As you are reading this, I will be taking my final exam.
Note:
The future continuous tense is often used to show that an action **will be in progress at a specific time in the future. It can also be used to predict **or **assume **actions that* will be happening *in the future, as in the second example above.
Additionally, it can be used to *politely inquire about someone’s plans, *as in: “Will you be coming to the party tomorrow?”
