What is good about the earth wire?
If the live wire came in contact with the kettle the current would go through the earth wire as that is connected to the kettle casing, current would flow through the earth this has a low resistance which means the current goes up then will blow the fuse, inside of somebody touching it and giving them a bad electric shock.
What type of resistance is it through the earth wire?
Low and current goes up blows the fuse
what is a RCCB used for?
Give a layer of protection for certain circuits
What is an advantage of an RCCB
Much quicker and it can be reset
How does an RCCB work?
Works by detecting a change between the live and the neutral wires going into an appliance.
