A heterotroph is a living organisms that obtains organic nutrients from other organisms
(i.e. use glucose already made by green plants)

A
Saprophytic organisms absorb their nutrients from dead and decomposing organisms

Describe the basic structure of fungae
A
The body is made up of threads called hyphae which form a mass of threads called a mycelium

- contain No chlorophyll
- cannot photosynthesise
- saprophytics
- body may consist of a single cell (eg. yeast) or hyphae (eg. bread mould)
