1) wash+dress body for viewing
2) Perform a lament wailing and shrill cry, they tear their hair, beat breasts and scratch cheeks
What do all the relatives do?
Defile themselves- cut their hair, making hair and face dirty with ash and wearing filthy torn clothing
How does the city honour its dead every year?
Graves decorated, offerings made and special food eaten
Libations of broth, milk, honey blood of sacrificed animals,
Also, water poured to contact dead so prayers reach them.
