Q

Ribosomes’ Function

A

Transcription of RNA into DNA

  • DNA is in nucleus - RNA must be transported out of nuclear pores to ribosomes to be transcripted to protein
  • has 2 subunits w/ a core made of RNA - has a helix

Q

Are there ribosomes in the nucleus?

A

most signal for the function of ribosome in the cytoplasm

as well as in nucleolus
=> concluded functional ribosomes in the nucleus - can start translating DNA in the nucleus - not just cytoplasm
