65 Minutes
Approach fuel and where is it counted from
250kg. Begins from 1500’ to touchdown
Destination Alternate Fuel
The Fuel required from 1500’ to 200’ at the destination followed by a go-around and a flight to 1500’ at the Alternate.
What is Final Reserve Fuel
30 minutes in the tanks, which legally needs to be in tanks at the end of the landing roll. 2.4 Tonnes is the loose figure.

What is Contingency Fuel
fuel required to compensate for unforeseen circumstances. Will be capped at $1500kg OR
5% Trip fuel from DPA- Destination
What is critical point Etops= CPE
It is the fuel to permit plane to fly from CPE to one of nominated 2 EDTO Alternates-
- with trip fuel,
- 15 minutes Holding Fuel at 1500’
- APU burn if required
- Holding Fuel if required
Inflight Fuel Requirements
At all stages of flight must have the combined total of the following:
- Trip Fuel to proceed to a Cat A or B Airport
- Required Holding
- Approach fuel
- Contingency Fuel
- Final Reserve Fuel
Flying to New Zealand Airports with only 1 Runway requirements
Must have adequate fuel to enable diversion from Destination to Cat A or B airport not requiring an Alternate.
An airport with limited ground capability can be planned if the Destination has:
CLOUD BASE- DA +1000 AND
Visibility- 5000 meters
Severe Low Level Turbulence
Allow for 1600kg of fuel or holding fuel- In flight requirement only
