Q

What is the caution associated with the weather radar system operations?
(In part) …If an active radar mode is selected, ensure all people are at least xxx feet away from the forward xxx deg arc of the aircraft prior to takeoff.

A

CAUTION
The weather radar has a weight on wheels override that forces the system into standby when the aircraft is on the ground. Unless STBY or OFF are selected, the weather radar will radiate as soon as the helicopter lifts to a hover. If an active radar mode is selected, ensure all people are at least 100 feet away from the forward 270 deg arc of the aircraft prior to takeoff.
