Ageing in oak for a minimum of two years. Producers may use Cognac infused oak-chips, caramel and sweetners in a very limited quanitity. The age of the spirit is measured from the first of april the following vintage. Time between distillation and the 31 mars is not included. Therefor, a cognac made from grapes harvested in 2010 become one year old on the first of april 2012.
If the name cru appears on the bottle where are the grapes from Cognac?
100% of the grapes must be from that cru.

A minimum of 50% of the grapes must be from Grande Champagne blended with Petit Champagne.
