A

The Sun and Earth are very far from each other and, at any given moment, only half of the surface of Earth is illuminated by the Sun. When a location experiences sunset, it is rotating away from the Sun and moving out of the illuminated area. As Earth rotates eastward (from west to east), the Sun will look as if it is ‘disappearing’ below the western horizon at this location
