Structures
Something that is made of different parts that are held together, a plant or animal, where each part has a specific job that makes the whole things function.
Function
The special job or purpose that something does.
Survival
The act of continuing to live or exist.
Growth
The process of which a living thing increases in size and mass.
External
Something on the outside of an organism or a living thing.
Adaptations/Adapted
A characteristic of living things that helps it survive in its environment.
Predator
The animal that eats other animals.
Prey
An animal that is eaten by other animals.
Environment
The environment includes everything living and nonliving in an area. For example the environment of a giraffe has grass, trees, water, other animals and non-living things like rocks and soil.
Habitat
A home for animals and plants where they can find everything they need such as water, food, and shelter in a specific place.
