what are some adaptations on the frog skull?
have a fenestrated palate (frontoparietal complex) meaning it has holes between the skull
there is also a muscle to retract the eyeball into the buccal cavity
and a muscle to lift the eyeball after swallowing
causing eye bulging

elongated ilium bone - urostyles
reduced presacral vertebrae
elongated tarsals
fused tibia and fibula, fused radius and ulna
how has the pelvis evolved?
elongated ilium on the hip bone
there is also a mobile hinge at the sacral pelvis junction
pectoral girdle has evolved to absorb landing impact

buccal force pump:
- narrow vocal slits on each side of the buccal cavity
there is also an elastic vocal sac chamber

3 chambered heart:
for cutaneous and pulmonary respiration
how does fertilisation occur?
fertilisation usually external

sperm is ejected onto eggs as the female lays
