A

-week long parties: loss of money
-maintenance of the palace of Versailles (25% of budget)
-over ambitious wars (made them lose money)
-7 years war
-American Revolution
France lost territories except two small islands = loss of wealth/resources/agriculture
-need to raise taxes but only the 3rd estate is made to pay the taxes

A

Because they lost the 7 years war and they hated Britain so they funded their troops to fight for American against Britain and then the troops who went to America learned their revolutionary ideas and came back to France wanting a change as well
