Usage:
to talk indefinitely about the future
to soften instructions and emphatic commands

Usage:
with expressions of necessity (il faut que)
when the main verb of a sentence expresses a desire or wish, the verb of the subordinate class is subjunctive
when the main clause expresses emotion and a different subject
