What are the 3 groups of verbs in French
- -er verbs
- -ir verbs
- irregular verbs with different endings (-ir, -dre, -oir, etc.)
The present indicative or présent de l’indicatif in french, is a _________. This tense is not formed with an auxiliary.

For the first group (verbs ending in -ER) what is the usual rule when it comes to conjugating them?
Je and Il/Elle are both the same, they both end with the letter -e. Tu on the other hand ends with -es, while nous ends with -ons, vous ends with -ez, and ils/elles ends with -ent
For the second group (verbs ending in -IR) what is the usual rule when it comes to conjugating them?
Je and Tu are both the same, they both end in -is. Il/Elle ends with -it, nous ends with -issons, vous ends with issez, while ils/elles ends with -issont.
For the 3rd group (the general case but verbs ending in -RE ends here) what is the usual rule when it comes to conjugating them?
Just like the second group, the 3rd group have similar rules.
