Dread Scott Decision
Dread Scott is a slave who sued for his freedom bc he was brought into free states. Went to the Supreme Court, they ruled that he is not a citizen of US and not allowed to sue, Slaves are property and can be taken anywhere. 1854

36/30 Maine is a free state, Missouri is a slave state. Stopped my Dread Scott case
