Belief actions and thoughts are predetermined by past events and conditions. People are unable to have free will or be morally responsible for their actions.

What is soft determinism ?
A
Belief that behaviour is due to environmental or biological factors, but that people still have some free will.

what is Environmental determinsim
A
Our behaviour is shaped by external factors in our environment E.g social conditions or upbringing.

What is biological determinism ?
A
Brain works according to biological rules governed by genetics, hormones and the nervous system. Decisions made are not our own choice.

A
Our behaviour is controlled by ppowerful forces in our subconscious.
