the both seek to explore the unknown in hopes of receiving glory; think they are entitled to get information no one else has ever gotten before; Victor is successful in discovering what he is seeking and it causes him to go mad; Walton never reaches what he wishes to explore
Victor VS Creature
they become similar, because they feel the need to destroy each other; they live for the destruction of the other; power struggle
Creature VS Walton
walton hears a lot about the creature but only the version that is edited by Victor; he is warned that he should not trust the creature, because the creature will twist words to make Walton side with him; Walton does not kill the creature like he is asked

Science VS Nature
using science to go against nature; science isolation is bad, but nature solitude is good
Adam
why was i created? both abandoned /\ happy ending for adam– gets a companion
Satan
people stay away, because they are scared, forced to seek revenge, satan is fine being alone, but the creature desires company
Milton
seeks to go where no one has gone before in his poem; controversial; brags– thinks he is the only one who can write about these things
Pride/Glory
Walton and Frankenstein seek glory in their discoveries; victor has too much pride to stop his studies; too much pride to go to jail in place of Justine
Revenge
Creature gets revenge for abandoning and not creating a female, victor tries to get revenge for the loss of lives of his family members
Solitude
Victor forces himself to be alone by fixating himself on his studies; he is alone in science and is miserable, when he is alone in nature he feels restored; The creature is forced to be alone and feels miserable so he makes Victor be alone too by killing all of his family members
Acquisition of Knowledge
Walton and Frankenstein constantly seek more knowledge; creature acquires knowledge through observation
