- built up England navy
- 6 marriages
Edward VI ( GB)
- only son of Henry
- became king at 9 years old
- dies a few years later in 1533
Mary ( GB)
- daughter of Henry (her mother was Catherine of Aragon( Spain) 1st wife
- hated Protestants
- nickname: Bloody Mary because she killed hundreds of Protestants by burning at the stake
- tried to destroy Anglican Church
- died childless in 1558
Elizabeth( GB)
- Mary’s 1/2 sister( Mary hates her)
- tried to help the common people
- great cultural period(Shakespeare)
Mary Stuart (GB)
- queen of Scotland
- closest relative if Mary/Elizabeth
- schemes to attack Elizabeth( thinks she is catholic) and Philip, Mary’s husband plots with Mary Stuart
- Elizabeth finds out and has Mary beheaded

- England destroys them (faster, smaller, swifter)
