Effects of the Norman Conquest?
Language- French replaced English as the main language, and the Anglo-Saxon language was influenced by French
Castles and Churches- Many Cathedrals and Churches were built, and Norman Motte and Bailey castles were introduced which reshaped English War
English People- Now ruled by foreign power, basically became 2nd class citizens
Trade with Europe increased

Devastated the English people- had to pay high tax to afford the cost of weapons, horses and armour. This meant many people died due to disease and starvation as they couldn’t afford
Parliament became more important- huge part in how the country is run today
