What is reduction with fractures?
A
-Surgical procedure to achieve restoration —Simply “bringing back to normal”

A
-An open fracture

What is the treatment of a compound fracture?
A
- Apply pressure
- Stop the bleeding
- Immobilise
- Ice to reduce swelling and pain
- Treat shock

A
-Inflammation of the bone

A
-Arms, legs and spine

What is the cause of osteomyelitis?
A
-Infection in the bloodstream/ nearby tissue which reaches the bone

What is the treatment of osteomyelitis?
A
- Surgery to remove dead bone
- Antibiotics (Usually IV) for 6 weeks

A
- Fever
- Chills
- Malaise
- Night sweats
- Pain
