Fractions, decimals and percentages, graphs Flashcards
Numerator
The top part of the fraction
Denominator
The bottom number in a fraction.
Terminating decimal
A decimal number that has digits that end.
Equation
An equation says that two things are equal.
Table of values
Information (such as numbers and descriptions) arranged in rows and columns.

Equivalent fraction
Fractions which have the same value, even though they may look different
Constant
A fixed value
y-intercept
The point where a line or curve crosses the y-axis of a graph.
Distance- time graph
If an object moves along a straight line, the distance travelled can be represented by a distance-time graph. In a distance-time graph, the gradient of the line is equal to the speed of the object. The greater the gradient (and the steeper the line) the faster the object is moving.
Linear graph
Linear means straight and a graph is a diagram which shows a connection or relation between two or more quantity.
