what is organic farming?
Organic farming is an agricultural system that uses fertilisers of organic origin such as compost manure, green manure, and bone meal and places emphasis on techniques such as crop rotation and companion planting.
what is intensive farming?
Intensive farming involves large inputs of labor/money relative to the size of the farmland. Intensive agriculture is all about efficiency—producing as much food as possible, proportionally. Major intensive farming crops include corn and soybeans, as well as wheat and rice.
what is sustainable farming?
Sustainable agriculture is farming in sustainable ways meeting society’s present food and textile needs, without compromising the ability for current or future generations to meet their needs. It can be based on an understanding of ecosystem services.
what is regenerative farming?
Regenerative agriculture is not a specific practice itself. Rather, proponents of regenerative agriculture use a variety of sustainable agriculture techniques in combination. Practices include recycling as much farm waste as possible and adding composted material from sources outside the farm.
