HISTORY of FOUR (4) STAGES
Developed by Ye Tianshi (Qing Dynasty 1644-1911)
Based on Six Channel Differentiation
Applied to Analysis & Diff of Epidemic Febrile Disease (Warm Xie)
Wei, Qi, Ying, Xue Synd - Patho Fx from Exterior to Interior
FOUR (4) STAGES
Methods of Treatment
Wei Stage - Use Diaphoretic
Qi Stage - Clear Qi or Clear Heat
Ying Stage - Clear Heat & Make Come to Qi Stage
Xue Stage - Cool Blood & Dispel Blood Heat to Keep it from Consuming Blood & Forcing Blood Overflow Vessels
FOUR (4) STAGES
Warm Xie or Warm Evil
Term which includes Febrile Pathogens & Pestilential fx. Same as Warm-Heat Evil.
Used only when differentiated by 4 stages of Wei, Qi, Ying, Xue & also SJ
FOUR (4) STAGES
Wei Stage
Warm Xie invades Body Surface causing dys-fx of Wei Qi. Commonly appears in Exo Febrile disease first stage.
Commonly accompanied by Sx of LU meridian disease.
FOUR (4) STAGES
Four Types of Wei Stage Disease
Wind-Heat
Summer-Heat
Damp-Heat (not on test)
Dry-Heat (not on test)
