Crate
Dog enters crate and is able to settle inside until released.
Release

Mat
Dog goes to lie down on a mat that is placed at a distance.
Under
Dog lies down under designated object. Ex: Restaurant
dog goes under chair.

Dog walks with handler maintaining a loose leash.
Leave it
Dog makes eye contact with handler
Up
Dog put FRONT paws onto a raised surface
Jump On
Dog jumps onto a raised surface with all FOUR paws
Off
Dog returns all four paws to the floor
Post
Dog moves to stand in front of handler, facing SIDEWAYS
Side
Dog moves to stand on the RIGHT side from front of handler.
Heel
Dog moves to stand on LEFT side from front of handler.
Circle
Dog moves from side to a heel or heel to a side from behind the handler.
Follow
Dog moves to stand BEHIND handler, facing handler.
Front
Dog moves to stand in FRONT of handler, facing handler
Get It
Dog picks up item with mouth and holds it until cued to do something else with it.
Give
Dog places item onto handler’s palm.
Take It
Dog takes item from handler’s hand and holds it until cued to do something else with it.
Bring
Dog brings item to handler
Drop
Dog drops item from mouth
Deliver
Dog placed item onto indicated person’s palm that is not the handler.
Put
Dog places item onto indicated surface, or inside indicated receptacle.
Tug
Dog tugs on the indicated tug tie with its mouth and pulls until the door or cabinet opens fully.
Push
Dog pushes the indicated item until given a different cue.
Leash
Dog picks up leash off the ground and delivers it to handler’s palm.
Fix
Dog lifts paw of leg that leash is behind or under.
Go Play
Dog is free to go play.
Automatic Settle
Dog defaults into a relaxed down at handler’s feet without being cued.
Automatic Eye Contact
Dog consistently makes eye contact with handler w/out being cued.
Automatic “Leave It”
Dog automatically makes eye contact with handler in the presence of distractions.
Eat
Signals the dog that it is ok to eat.
Water
Signals dog to drink.
Squish
Dog lies across individual who is lying down or who is sitting with outstretched legs.
Lap
Dog places forearms across individual’s lap who is seated in a chair.
Focus (this is paired with a visual cue or pointed to desired location)
Dog rest chin on indicated surface (that is pointed to) Ex: body part, furniture, etc.
Nudge ( verbal cue or VC plus visual cue of finger pointing) Visual cue of self harming behavior
Dog pushed snout/nose into the outside of the individual’s upper thigh/leg, or indicated body part, with a moderate level of force until handler gives another cue. (verbal cue=Name, or Tactile=pets dog
Snuggle
Dog lies parallel, touching handler who is laying down or dog lays parallel touching handler who is sitting either on a bench or on floor with legs crossed or outstretched.
Fist Bump
Dog touches person’s closed fist with nose. This is paired with a closed fist cue in proximity to dog’s nose
Bow
Dog goes into a bow
Visit
Dog walks to the end of the leash and remains in a stationary sit position. Dog must face the handler while being petted by someone.
Between
Dog moves between handlers legs while handler is sitting or standing. Dog is in a seated position back to the handlers chin
