A

we are greeting, introducing self and role, asking for consent, asking for presenting problem, then screening for more - then negotiate agenda if possible

A

for a CVS what do we ask about in the biomedical aspects area

A

SOCRATES - site, onset, character, radiation, associated symptoms, time course, exacerbating/ alleviating, severity.
then the associated is the stuff like chest pain, breathlessness (laying down, waking you up), leg swelling, leg pain (vice like), palpatations, syncope or pre-syncope.
then the sort of questions you’d need to ask in that realm.

for a Respiratory what do we need to ask about

A

SOCRATES.
pain, shortness of breath, added breathing sounds (wheeze), hoarseness, cough, sputum, haemoptysis.
then like, how much, how often what colour, what sort and so on where applicable.

A

SEAWTM - this is our general symptoms - ask after the system specific symptoms
Sleep, energy, appetite, weight, temperature, mood.
ICEEF - this is the patient perspective, do this after the symptoms of things
