Calculating cost
Power(kw) x Time (hrs) x Price for electricity (c/kw•h)
How does a generator work?
As the turbine spins, it makes the shaft and rotor spin. The mechanical energy of the rotor is converted into electrical energy inside the generator
What is current electricity?
Electric current is the flow of electrical charge through a material, there are 2 types: AC and DC
What are wet cells made of
Electrodes
Electrolytes (liquid)
Separator
Container
Or are dry cells made of
Electrodes
Electrolytes (paste or gel)
Separator

Electroscope
An instrument used to detect electric charge
Electrodes
Made of two different conductive metals: anode and cathode
Components of a circuit
Source, conductor, load, switch
Pith balls/electroscope
Ball of pith if object is charged the charges will move down to the leaves and move apart
