Different types of a Monarchy.
A
- Absolute: monarchs has sole control over government….. People have few or no rights.
- Limited: power of monarchs limited by constitution and/ or parliament…..some monarchs are figureheads; they have no real power

A
- all monarchs gain power through heredity
- divine right: believe that monarchs was put on throne by God.
- titles: king/queen, emperor/empress, czar/czarina.

A
- Usually comes to power through military force
- Has absolute power
- When a dictator is removed from power there is no clear succession.
- People have few or no rights

A
Like a dictatorship, except a small group rules instead of a single person.

- Government by the people
- Power is limited by the constitution and regular elections.

- Representative(indirect): the people elect representatives to make decisions for them
