Q

What is the most widely accepted theory of the formation of the Earth?

A

Nebular hypothesis-4.6 billion years ago a great cloud condensed under its own gravity, most oft the material gathered up and started to heat up due to compression. This formed the star and the remaining material orbitted the star and began to clump together to form larger bodies called planetsimals. They collided together creating planets and moons and the Earth.

Q

What caused the earth to bulge at the equator and how do we knkw that it is bulged?

A

The fast spinning younger earth forced the planet to bulge at the equator-like how something is forced out a container when its spinned. We know that it is bulged because the earth js wider at the rquator than from pole to pole.

Q

What is the hypothesis that many support about the earths magnetic field?

A

It is cause by movement of fluid in the outer core. A magnetic field is created when an electric current is created by the moving fluid.
