Informal Language
Shortened form of a word and it uses an apostrophe.
Contractions
Makes the tone of the writing subjective.
Personal Pronouns
Replace (concept) with a single verb.
Phrasal verbs
Provides a framework for clear expression of ideas. It also contains a subject and a predicate and has a complete thought and proper punctuation mark.
Sentence
An incomplete sentence. It does not have a subject and a predicate or both.
Fragments
Combining dependent clauses with an independent clause.
Subordinating Conjunction
A sentence error is caused by running one sentence into another without putting conjunction in between.
Run-on sentences
2 or more sentences that are not separated nor joined by any punctuation.
Fused sentences
2 or more sentences separated only by commas instead of semi-colons and conjunctions.
