How are the candles formed?
Through the openings, highs and lows of bars in any given time frame
What is a bullish candlestick?
A green candle that has its closing bar higher than its opening bar
What is a bearish candlestick?
A red candle that has its closing bar lower than its opening bar
When do bullish bars open and close?
Open - After the lows
Close - Before the highs
When do bearish bars open and close?
Open - After the high
Close - Before the low
What do long bodies signify?
Strong bullish or bearish interest
What does a long bar formation signify on your chart?
Strong buying or selling interest
What does a long shadow signify on your chart?
Trading activities occurred far away from the open or closed level of that bar
A candlestick has a long upper shadow and a short lower shadow, what does this indicate?
Buyers showed a stronger sign of interest by bidding price higher but then sellers pulled down the price to the opening session of the bar
A candlestick has a short upper shadow and a long lower shadow, what does this indicate?
Sellers showed a stronger sign of interest by bidding price lower but then buyers pulled the price upwards to the opening session of the bar
