When was the DAO 1993-23 (FLMP) promulgated?
April 27, 1993
This program shall provide financial and tenurial incentives for forest occupants and rural communities to develop, protect and sustainably manage forest.
FLMP
Processes and activities aimed at developing and strengthening the capabilities of Forest Land Managers in planning and implementation of the development of the denuded area.
Community organising
Plantation establishment activities in reforestation and other land development activities in reforestation and other land development initiatives.
Comprehensive Site Development
Association, organization, foundation, cooperative registered with the appropriate government regulatory agency.
Community FLM
Spouses, children, household members related by affinity, living within or near the denuded area and have successfully implemented the reforestation project.
Family FLM
Land that is more suitable for forestry than for other uses on the basis of prevailing land classification area.
Forest Lands
The party/person whom FLMA is issued by the DENR.
FLManager
A contract between DENR and FLManager than grants privilege to harvest, sell, utilize NR in 25 yrs.

Formulated and aunched by the virtue of the DAO 1993-23
FLMP
Extraction or cutting of timber and non-timber forest products
Harvesting
Initial examination for estimating probable environmental impacts in order to ascertain whether follow up studies are needed.
Initial Environmental Examination
Process of interplanting food crops in areas previously planted by trees in order to produce income
Income Enhancement Planting
Planting food crops concurrent with the planting of trees and other perennials.
Intercropping
Inspection and assessment procedures involved in FLMP to determine the status, progress, compliance of the FLM with the terms and conditions of the FLMA.
Monitoring and evaluation.
Spouses and children or the parents, brothers, sisters, relatives chosen by the FLM to assume responsibilities in case of incapacity or death.
Next of kin
Agencies of gov’t other than DENR.
OGA’s
It is the site selected by the DENR for implementation of the FLMP.
Project site
The conduct of pre-feasibility studies on a proposed project site.
Survey, Mapping and Planninv
It is a detailed write up indicating the different operational activities pertaining to timber production that will be implemented by the FLM.
Forest Management Plan
The forest areas with slopes greater than 50% wherein income or subsistence shall be provided primarily through the harvesting and utilization of non-timber products.
